Listing of exhibitions for District of Columbia

On display are 66 pieces of turned and carved wood given by collector Friends Fleur and Charles Bresler to the Smithsonian American Art Museum.  Leading artists in the field are represented.  A five-minute video featureing the collectors and curators is shown in the galleries.  Catalog available.

In an unusual move, the museum organized a juried exhibition of contemporary fiber art celebrating the traditions and meaning of the color green or addresings the goal of preserving our environment.  More will be posted when list of artists is available.
