Collecting reveals its public spirit in this beautifully illustrated book: It’s not just about acquiring but about sharing the satisfactions of hand-made objects. While Polly Ullrich’s essay maps out some of the riches of meaning that can be found in these exemplary works from Midwest collections, photographs taken in collectors’ homes make clear the personal pleasures of such material environments.

Completed grant applications will be accepted on or before

July 1st, 2017 for your program beginning after January 1st, 2018

Friends of Fiber Art International gives support to projects that serve our mission -- especially programs and shows that impact a large art-appreciative audience -- thereby raising the public's awareness of fiber art as the collectible of the 21st century. The Board has favored exhibitions of contemporary fiber art that were chosen by professional curators, documented by catalogs, and travelled to at least two cities.  Deadline:  July 1st; projects, to be considered, must be scheduled to start after January 1st of the following year.
